How can I share in Jesus' Sufferings

1. Suffer my sufferings in Holiness - see the Suffering in Holiness meditation for more details about this. I united my sufferings to Jesus'.

2. Use an account of Jesus' Passion and put myself in His place. - There are many accounts of Jesus' passion, such as the bible, the stations of the cross, narratives based on the bible, mystical works (such as Poem of the Man-God by Maria Valtorta), movies (Jesus of Nazareth is excellent).

   2. Listen to an account - Similiar to reading, but often easier as you can close your eyes and give your imagination freer reign. This can be done via tapes or videos (with your eyes open), or in a group setting with one person reading (and the reader should vary). You can also do this during a formal stations of the cross, reading of the passion, etc.
