Meditation on Jesus right after the Incarnation (becoming man)
Consider Jesus in Mary’s womb, fully God and fully man, consisting of a single cell, a fertilized egg. He went from impossible to contain to smaller than the eye can see. We have God humbling himself immensely to become fully man and experience the completeness of normal humanity from the moment of normal existence, that is from the moment of conception through death. According to the bible, Mary had a normal pregnancy, not reduced in length, as it would be if human life began later. Jesus wanted to experience the development of sensation and awareness that occurs in the womb as we all have experienced.
Completely amazing that such a little human as Jesus was could possess the full power of God within Him. Science tells us that the one-celled fertilized egg is fully human and develops according to its plan via its DNA to a recognizable child taking only nutrition from his or her mother. Jesus in His Incarnation shows us, humanity, that the one-celled fertilized egg is endowed with a soul and is fully human.
Ponder this Jesus, single cell, fully God and fully man, deeply and you will be awestruck at the majesty and greatness of God.
O Loving Jesus, in your great love for us, that You humbled Yourself to become a human in the form of a single-celled organism in the greatest act of humility ever done and grew in the womb of Our Blessed Mother for the full term of pregnancy, we adore you and praise you with our entire beings. Help us to see the full humanity of our brothers and sisters in the womb of their mothers and grant them the full dignity, respect, and rights that they deserve as human beings.
O Human Jesus, who is our model of the perfect human, inspire us through your great humility to live our lives humbly accepting Your plan for our lives, and guide us to where You want us to be.
O Divine Jesus, grant to us a love so deep, that we like You, may love everyone around us and bear our daily crosses.
O Tiny Jesus, as a single cell in Mary’s womb, help us to see the true value in the small things in this world, acknowledging the wonder and power of God in his creation. You show us that "Little things do mean a lot" in the first moments of Your simple humanity.
Thank You. We love You and adore You. Amen.
